For those of you struggling with WordPress design, here are a few quick tips. These can go a long way towards making sure your blog is effective and easy on the eyes. That’s why in my free course How to Build a Blog in 7 Days, I break this process down to an even more manageable, actionable step-by-step process so you can get to today’s work with minimal delay.

If you want to start a blog and make money from it, WordPress is your smartest option

Let’s cover some terminology so you know why WordPress is the right software to use on your blog.

What is a Content Management System (CMS)?

A blog is what you’ll use to write, design, and publish blog posts. A good blog has lots of features that will help you

organize and upload content easily. It might also handle other aspects like marketing, sales, and support. The most popular CMS on the market today is WordPress.

What is WordPress?

WordPress is undoubtedly the world’s most popular CMS, with millions of bloggers using it every day. The latest data shows that close to 63% of all blogs use this content management system, including Forbes and NY Observer.

Should I start a blog on WordPress (and is WordPress free)?

Of course, there are other content management systems you can also consider (such as Wix, Squarespace, Tumblr, Blogger, Medium, or Ghost), but I strongly recommend setting up a self-hosted WordPress blog as it’s the most sustainable and

long-term content management system. It’s low-cost and the only option that makes sense if you’re looking to create a blog to make money in some capacity later on.

What if I want to create a blog with Wix instead?

One of the more popular services for hosting your blog is WordPress, but there are other options as well. Many people use Wix and don’t regret it. As opposed to WordPress.which has a reputation for being the best international content

management system for websites and was recently ranked for its generosity and inclusion by TIME Magazine, Wix does not provide the same flexibility or functionalities The flexibility of a blog means it’s easy to make tweaks and improvements

based on what you find out from your readers. This makes for a better experience for them, and also opens up more ways you can monetize your content.

If you choose any of the popular website builders on the market, there are more limitations on your blog customization and advertising options. If you are serious about blogging, it is important to go with a self-hosted WordPress site. To maximize your chances of making money with a blog, you may want to use a different service other than Wix.

If you’re a blogger with a WordPress blog, then I’m glad that you’re happy and satisfied with the service. It’s never too late to switch things up, though. One common area for improvement is page speed–many bloggers are routinely frustrated by the length of time it takes for their content to load.

One thing to be careful of is to differentiate between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. Although they are both related to WordPress, they are very different in terms of how they are structured and what features they offer.

Work at Home Online Jobs – Work From Home

WordPress.com:

  • Is allowed to use, with heavy limitations.
  • Doesn’t allow you to pick a custom area name.
  • Has extremely limited adaptation choices (you can’t sell your promotions)
  • Doesn’t allow you to transfer modules (for email catch and different things).
  • Has restricted subject help, so you’re left with only the essentials.
  • You need to pay to remove WordPress branding and get your URL like yoursite.com.
  • Restricted SEO and investigation

WordPress.org:

  • Completely adjustable plan, limitless module choices, and no marking
  • Complete command over your adaptation endeavors
  • Strong SEO highlights (so individuals can find your site more straightforward)
  • We should start or add an eCommerce store or enrollment site
  • Little month to month charge (from the modest facilitating plan you use to get your blog on the web)

If you want to take full advantage of your blog and eventually make money from it, WordPress.org is a great option for blogs with a long shelf life. Choosing the best (free) WordPress theme

As you’re just starting, I recommend not buying premium WordPress themes right away. Only once you have some traffic and can justify the investment should you choose a premium theme with many more options and features. Though readers may be fascinated by the complex theme of your blog, your most important goal is still to bring new readers, which can be accomplished without a complex theme.

Start with one of the options you like, which are many and abundant on WordPress. You can always change it later.

I selected these three WordPress themes because they’re the cleanest and simplest available, or I wouldn’t have spent time on them. They get you set up with a blog quickly and come at no cost. It is always smart to upgrade your WordPress themes when you can. After comparing the various features available in different themes, you might find a new theme that better suits your needs or wants.
